Who I Am

who i am

Elissa Lowenstern B&W Portrait

As children, when we experience stress and trauma (no matter how small it is in the mind of a child), we learn to adapt in order to survive. The expectations or opinions of people around us can have an impact.

We learn to change ourselves in order to have our needs met.

We move further away from who we really are – in order to fit in.

I am someone who made the impossible, possible. I was told by doctors that I would be in a wheelchair before I reached adulthood. I learned to survive a pretty challenging childhood. Aged 21, I was at a crossroads. Medication was no longer an option, yet my condition wasn’t going away. I was desperate. I made a choice. I made a choice to take responsibility for my life. I researched and did various physical and emotional therapies for several years. I turned my life around.

And I knew, in my heart, that I wanted to help others create choice in their life.

I studied different modalities that were underpinned by mind-body medicine. Everything from kinesiology, Psych-K (the wonderful world of beliefs), NLP and Brain Gym. I continue to study today. The more I learn, the more fascinated I am with our potential for change.

Today, my work as a practitioner is a very important part of my life. It is my purpose to help others as I helped myself

Elissa is a person of great integrity and strength, someone I completely trust. A person that I have enormous respect for.

She has a deep insight which was formed from her own personal challenges with illness. Hers was a determination to better understand ways to deal with what human life constantly throws at you and the wonderful insight that she gained because of these personal issues. Out of all this she gained a great love of life and a strong open mind and these two attributes have been key elements in her character.

As an individual where does this integrity and strength come from: For many years now I have been deeply moved and inspired by Elissa’s approach to her life, forming an impressive ability to cut through her own personal challenges to assist others.

She is my first call when sound advice is needed, generous with her knowledge she continues to offer sensible considered responses to the concerns of human upset whether it be physical challenges or emotional ones. Her intelligent assessment of thought and ways we can use clear and positive thinking gives further insight into her own resilience to reshape negative forces and beat a multitude of physical and mental concerns.
